Our Vision and mission
Who we are.
We are a ministry working in the red zones in Guatemala City, using soccer as a platform to bring the gospel of Christ to the children and youth. Using soccer we are able to open the doors to talk to them about Christ and work with them emotionally, spiritually, and intellectually. We are currently reaching over 150 boys and girls on a weekly basis having formed Echo Reach Soccer League in the public schools. After the children come to know Christ, our vision is to help them grow in their personal relationship with Him and pursue the purpose He has for them in their lives. There is so much negative influence in their lives with gangs, drugs and poverty that we as a ministry want to be a positive influence in their lives that overpowers that negative influence. As the gangs are actively recruiting these kids to do their dirty work, fooling them into believing they have family in them, Echo Reach is recruiting them for Jesus and giving them family in the body of Christ.
Echo Reach Ministries is also expanding providing the opportunity to these boys and girls to learn skills that they can use to build a better future for themselves and provide for themselves and their families. They will learn carpentry skills, tiling, painting, and much more.
ECHO REACH Vision
The vision of Echo Reach is to grow a soccer ministry that goes beyond elementary schools into middle schools and high schools and to see the graduates of the program become leaders in ministry. For these boys and girls to break the chain of drugs, gangs, violence, and alcohol that is so present in their world and to then turn around and help other boys and girls to break the chains in their lives and live a life with a purpose.
ECHO REACH Mission
Our Mission at Echo Reach is to develop Christ-like character and to make disciples through participation in Echo Reach Soccer Ministries. Our mission is to bring light into the darkness that is in Guatemala City, and hope to those children where only desperation and hopelessness exists in their families.
